Information about the new Tomb Raider may appear as early as next year

Developer Crystal Dynamics has announced that it is developing a new Tomb Raider game powered by Unreal Engine 5, with details about

it may appear as early as next year. We learned about this from a recent developer report.

What else is known

The first game in the series was released in 1996 and becameone of the most popular adventure games, as well as the main character of the series, Lara Croft. The series currently has three trilogies: the original trilogy, the legends trilogy, and the survivors trilogy. The last release was Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 2018.

The new Tomb Raider is actively being developed withbeginning of this year. Crystal Dynamics has said in the past that the game will feature “a new level of storytelling and gameplay” using Unreal Engine 5. It is quite possible that the game will be released next year, but it is better not to guess at the tea leaves and wait for the official announcement. In the meantime, we can assume that the game will most likely be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
