Insider: Qualcomm is working on a Snapdragon 775 chip, which will be built on a 6nm process technology

According to German insider Roland Quandt, Qualcomm is now working not only on

flagship chip Snapdragon 875 (SM8350), but also over the new top-end SoC 700 series.

What is known

We are talking about the Snapdragon 775 processor, which will be the successor to the Snapdragon 765G. The chipset comes with the model number SM7350 and codename Cedros.

The new product will be built according to6-nanometer technology, and will also have a 40% faster CPU and 50% more powerful GPU than the Snapdragon 765G. The processor is also credited with supporting 120 Hz displays, up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage. Naturally, the new product will have a built-in 5G modem.

When to expect

There is no official information about when the Snapdragon 775 will be announced. It will likely be unveiled alongside the Snapdragon 875 at Qualcomm's annual Snapdragon Tech Summit event in December.
