Insider: the successor of the Galaxy Fold will enter the market with the name Galaxy Z Fold 2 and get a sub-screen camera

XDA-Developer editor-in-chief Max Weinbach revealed some details of the successor to the foldable

Galaxy Fold smartphone.

What told

The device is codenamed Champ and itwill be part of the Galaxy Z line (it will be called Galaxy Z Fold 2). The new product, like the Z Flip clamshell, will receive Ultra Thin Glass coating. By the way, in a recent test JerryRigEverything found out that this is not exactly glass. The smartphone will also be equipped with a 7.7-inch main Infinity Flex Display screen with an under-screen front camera. The device will most likely be powered by a Snapdragon 865 processor paired with a 5G modem.

When to expect

Wait for Galaxy Z Fold 2 in the near future is not worth it. They plan to show it in July or August. Perhaps the presentation will take place along with the Galaxy Note 20 line of smartphones.
