Finally, we note that Insta developers do notThey accidentally launched a replacement for TikTok in their application. The fact is that the TikTok application currently has some difficulties. We are talking about a possible ban on the application in the United States by President Donald Trump. That's because TikTok's main company, ByteDance, is based in China and the country's law allows the communist government to order tech companies to collect information on consumers and businesses in the states and send it to Beijing. This is also why companies like Huawei and ZTE are considered a national security threat in the states.

ByteDance reports that the servers ituses for TikTok, are located in the US, and backups — in Singapore. Experts say personal data collected by TikTok is controlled by third parties that cooperate with the Chinese government. Such information reveals the precise physical location of TikTok users, including possibly interior spaces within buildings, as well as TikTok users.

Therefore, the TikTok application may be blocked. Naturally, Instagram owners cannot miss such a moment… This is how the idea of launching Reels was born.
