Intel has introduced a line of mobile processors Ice Lake. These are the first 10 generation platforms with support
Main characteristics
Ice Lake built on the basis of the latest architectureSunny Cove. As usual, the line is divided into three families: quad-core Core i5 and Core i7, which have eight task flows, and also Core i3, which has two cores and four threads. The processor families, in turn, are divided into Y and U series. The base frequency of the Y-series is 0.7–1.1 GHz, and the maximum Turbo frequency is 3.2–3.8 GHz. In the U-series, the base frequencies are in the range 1.0–1.3 GHz, and the maximum Turbo frequencies are 3.4–4.1 GHz.

The most interesting
According to Intel, Ice Lake was the first10th generation processors with artificial intelligence support. The chips contain the Intel Deep Learning Boost (DL Boost) instruction set, as well as the Intel Gaussian & Neural Accelerator (GNA) engine.
Most of the new products received improvedintegrated graphics Iris Plus, its work is also affected by AI. In the older models of the Y and U series, the chip is installed with 64 execution units (G7), the middle-class platforms received the Iris Plus graphics with 48 blocks (G4), and the lower-end Intel UHD models with 32 blocks (G1). The frequency of embedded chips ranges from 0.9 to 1.1 GHz. Intel claims that the graphic performance of Ice Lake has doubled compared with the previous generation.
All processors will also receive a built-in Intel Wi-Fi 6 adapter with a data transfer rate above 1 Gb / s and a Thunderbolt 3 controller.
The first mobile devices with Ice Lake can be expected by the winter of 2019.
