iOS 10.3 beta 1 will be released with the new “Theater” mode

According to information from renowned analyst Sonya Dixon, Apple will release iOS 10.3 for

developers early next month (10January). The upcoming version of the OS will come with a new "Theater Mode" feature along with a new "popcorn" Control Center icon. At this point, it's unclear what "theater mode" is for, but it's highly likely it could be a mode reminiscent of Apple's dark mode in tvOS10, which was updated this year. Apple will likely distribute this first beta version of iOS 10.3 to developers on January 10th, with the final release likely to be made available to the public in March when the company is rumored to release new iPad devices.

Apple has released the final build of firmware 10.2 to the public after numerous beta versions earlier this month. The update introduces more than 70 new emoticons, an SOS function, a small update to the Apple Music app, a new TV application, and a single sign-on function.
