According to the code in the iPadOS 16.1 beta, Apple will allowuninstall the base Wallet app, or
Apple Wallet - storage for Apple Card, inwhich you can store airline tickets, debit and credit cards for the Apple Pay payment system. The Wallet also handles Apple Pay Cash and can store loyalty cards, bonuses, and more.
In the beta version of iPadOS 16.1, and therefore in iOS 16.1, Apple will add the ability to completely remove Wallet from the device. If necessary, it can be downloaded again from the App Store. Right now, Wallet can only be hidden from the home screen. Probably the reason why the company decided to provide this option to users is antitrust lawsuits due to the fact that its "Wallet" is the only means of payment on the iPhone.
The function will become available to a wide range of users at the end of the year.
