iPhone brings Apple record revenue again, but Mac sales plummet 31%

Smartphones provided more than half (54%) of allApple's revenue. However, net income fell from $25 billion to $24.16 billion, and operating income from $29.9 billion to $28.3 billion. The profit margin was 44.3%.

Mac sales fell 31% year-on-year to $7.17 billion. But that's no big deal given the 33% year-over-year decline in the global personal computer market.

Revenue from the sale of iPad tablets also fell,but not so fast. Sales fell 13% to $6.67 billion despite the emergence of models with M2 chips. This is in line with Apple's expectations, although analysts had forecast higher revenue.

Wearable gadgets, including headphones, have broughtcompany $8.76 billion, down 1% from a year earlier. Total product revenue fell 5% to $73.9 billion. The rate of return is 36.7%. The main reason for the fall is low demand for Macs.

In services, Apple generated a record $20.9 billion in revenue. Compared to the first quarter of calendar year 2022, revenue increased by 5.5%.
