IPhone 11 Pro Max review: comparison with Galaxy Note 10+

The 2019 iPhone lineup update wasn't as exciting as last year's iPhone XR launch.

XS and XS Max, but still quite a few new ones appearedfunctions and improved technical characteristics, thanks to which the Apple flagship can still withstand the latest innovations from Samsung — Note 10 and 10+.

Of course, no improvement in screen resolution, RAM or battery capacity will ever compare the iPhone with the Galaxy Note.

Next, we will detail the technical characteristics of the new iPhone 11 Pro Max, simultaneously comparing it with the Galaxy Note 10+.

Comparison with Galaxy Note 10+

Design

iPhone 11 Pro Max is a little thicker and heavier, butlooks the same as the XS Max. Samsung managed to achieve a miracle. The Korean was able to create the 6.3-inch Note 10, which is much smaller than the 6.5-inch iPhone XS Max, thanks to the Premium Hole Infinity design, reducing the top bezel and dramatically increasing the screen-to-body ratio.

The largest iPhone 11 Pro Max is a little shorter,Thicker and heavier than the Note 10+, but basically the same width. Samsung's unmatched screen-to-body ratio looks better here. Apple's Face ID module doesn't allow for such display ratios, as Samsung has opted for a fingerprint scanner when it comes to biometric identification.

Apple has not tried to chase the mostDistinctive features of Note 10 and did not present the option of "rainbow" body finish, similar to Aura Glow on Note 10 and 10. +. On the contrary, the new iPhone comes with a matte textured finish and the new Midnight Green color.

Specifications

A13 chipset on new iPhone provides boostperformance that surpasses Samsung's new Exynos 9825 98. At the same time, Exynos is the king in synthetic tests on the Android side.

In addition to the functionality of the S Pen stylus and volumeRAM, there is another area where the iPhone can't compete with the Korean. Lack of support for 5G networks. By the way, the price of the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G starts at $1,300, and it’s scary to think how much an iPhone 11 with 5G support would cost.

Camera features

Currently Galaxy Note 10 and 10+ havea more versatile set of cameras that the iPhone doesn't have. The iPhone 11 Pro and its Max version, however, have added ultra-wide-angle lenses. And now there is a triple camera in a square module at the back. Judging by the characteristics of the Apple flagship's camera, its set of cameras — one of the most effective. Therefore, there is a chance that in terms of photo quality it will catch up with its competitors. In fact, it will be interesting to see how the Note 10+ compares to the iPhone 11 Max, Pixel 4 and the upcoming Mate 30 Pro as they will have the most powerful mobile cameras the world has ever seen.

Price

The prices for these two smartphones are noticeably different.Samsung and Apple have both surpassed the $999 threshold. The flagships are simply prohibitively expensive. The new iPhone 11 will go on sale on September 20. Price comparison is below in the table.
