The whole world is awaiting the presentation of a new line of smartphones from Apple, which will take place this year. On
So what should we expect this year: will the iPhone 12 be truly “new”, or just an updated version of existing models?
What will the future iPhone 2020 be called?
Accurate data on what will be the naming of the newthere are no Apple flagship lines yet. But, based on last year’s experience, we can assume the release of three smartphones, called the iPhone 12/12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. No 12s!
However, according to Apple analystsготовит не три, а целых четыре модели iPhone 2020. Два из них будут бюджетными вариантами с экранами в размерах 6,1″ и 5,4″. Кроме того ожидается, что впервые будет представлен смартфон с уменьшенным, а не традиционно увеличенным дисплеем.
“Proshki” 2020 will be equipped with displays with diagonals of 6.1 and 6.7 inches. For comparison, it is worth noting that the iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 6.5-inch display size.
IPhone 12 Design
The notorious analyst Ming Chi Kuo providesdata on the basis of which significant changes in the design of the new iPhone 12 can be expected, in contrast to current models. According to him, the main changes relate to the shape of the case. The new model will receive a metal frame with right angles, similar to that of a four and the side faces in the form of a rectangle (like the 2018 iPad Pro). According to insiders, an innovative metal casting method will be used to create the iPhone 12 case, which will actually make the product more expensive.
Insider Ben Geskin, in turn, talks about a redesign of the front panel. In his renders of the iPhone 12, he shows a smartphone where the so-called “unibrow” is practically absent.

There is a version that one of the futurephones may not have a notch at all, since the manufacturers plan to integrate a front camera under the screen. If this happens, then it is expected that it will be the most expensive model of the iPhone 12 with such a modification.
Apple is believed to be developing a newFace ID technology, which will result in a redesigned and potentially thinner notch. The company is supposedly testing several combinations, including ones that minimize the front-facing optics so much that they fit into the top bezel. According to another version, it is proposed to exclude the Face ID function in favor of an under-screen fingerprint scanner.
Again, a later leak suggests thatthe design will actually remain the same, except for some differences in camera placement and dimensions. Based on this information, the 5.4-inch iPhone will be around 131mm tall, the 6.1-inch model around 147mm, and the 6.7-inch model could be slightly taller than the 158mm iPhone 11 Pro Max. The changes will affect another parameter of the case thickness; for the iPhone 12 it will be 7.4 mm, while the iPhone 11 Pro Max has as much as 8.1 mm.
iPhone 12 with OLED display
According to insiders, the expected frequencyDisplay updates will be 120 Hz. A useful functional extension will be the ability to select the desired frequency indicator: 60 Hz in battery saver mode, 120 Hz for games and more powerful tasks. The LCD screens that Apple plans to abandon will most likely be replaced by OLED displays.

As we have already indicated above, the updated lineupsmartphones will receive three variations of sizes, with a diagonal of 5.4, 6.1 and 6.7 inches. There is currently no information about more precise characteristics, such as resolutions, pixel density and brightness.
iPhone 12: camera
The triple camera of the iPhone 11 Pro produced reala sensation with its capabilities. It is logical that the camera capabilities of the future iPhone 12 Pro model, at least, should not be inferior. It is assumed that the main feature will be the new 3D camera Time of Flight, which will open up a number of new features. Firstly, it will improve image quality, especially in Portrait mode. Secondly, the presence of a Time of Flight camera will provide new opportunities for users to work with additional reality.
Insiders indicate that the iPhone 12 Pro andThe iPhone 12 Pro Max will get the Time of Flight feature along with a three-lens camera, while the standard iPhone 12 (5.4 and 6.1 inches) will get a two-lens camera without 3D perception.

Many sources indicate that the 3D camerawill become the so-called “fourth camera”, and the iPhone 12 will receive a four-camera system: Wide-angle 12-megapixel; 12-megapixel telephoto camera; 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle; Time of Flight 3D cameras.
iPhone 12: when will it be released and what will be the price
Official rumors about iPhone 12 release date so farno, but if we analyze Apple’s previous presentations, it can be argued that this will definitely be the second week of September 2020. Thus, we can assume that we will see the iPhone 12 somewhere around September 8th.
The price of the iPhone 12 will likely be broadly in line with current models.
For reference:
– iPhone 11 costs from $699 to $729 to $1,199
– iPhone 11 Pro from $999 $1,049 $1,749
– iPhone 11 Pro Max from $1,099 $1,149 $1,899
But given that the cost of materials for the iPhone 12 may increase, prices will accordingly be significantly higher. In any case, we expect the base model of the iPhone 12 to cost from $700.
Communication, processor and battery iPhone 12
Another big change that is plannedTurn into a new line of Apple smartphones is support for 5G networks. Yes, the iPhone 12 may be the first smartphone to support the 5G standard, unless of course it is ahead of the iPhone SE 2, which is due out in March this year. For the sake of this, Cupertinovtsi even ended the legal war with Qualcomm, the supplier of 5G modems.
But, by the way, Apple clearly does not want to depend onsuppliers, so they independently took on the task of selling modems. But it won’t be possible to release your own 5G modem before 2022, so you have to make friends with other manufacturers in order to keep up with revolutionary solutions, given that some Android models received 5G support back in 2019.

The new iPhone 12 plans to become the most powerful phone due to the new A14 Bionic processor. It will also provide longer smartphone life than ever.
The amount of RAM should also beincrease, as analysts claim that the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max will receive 6 GB, compared to 4 GB in the iPhone 11. The amount of internal memory should also increase, but there is no exact data on this yet.
And so, let's summarize what dramatic changes we expect from the new iPhone 12:
1. Exciting new features
First of all – the new iPhone should not bejust good. He must be better than expected. This may sound like a vague request, but Apple – one of the largest companies in the world, and if any brand can create a mega cool gadget, it’s Cook’s team, so come on Apple, don’t let us down!
2. New design
Obviously, most of all we want to see a new design from the iPhone 12. Apple has been releasing basically the same design for several years now, since it updated the look of the iPhone X.
Of course, some things have been corrected, but the essence is the samesame. And it's starting to look a little dated. Great hopes rest on the removal or at least reduction of the camera notch, which they plan to hide in the metal frame of the iPhone 12 display.
3. Screen
If Apple does manage to movefront camera under the iPhone 12 display – this will certainly impress fans of Apple products. Also, I would really like to return the fingerprint scanner in case Face-ID does not work as smoothly as it should.
4. Higher refresh rate
One of the ways that someCompanies continue to improve their displays by increasing the refresh rate from the standard 60 Hz. For example, the OnePlus 7 Pro has an optional 90Hz refresh rate, while the Razer Phone 2 – up to 120 Hz.
For a smoother experience, we wish Apple offered a higher refresh rate. This is not excluded, especially since some iPad Pro models have a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
5. Reinforced battery
For the first time in many years, the iPhone 11 line has createdthe impression that Apple really prefers battery life in their phones. But we want the company to go even further by developing the iPhone 12, or at least not go in the opposite direction.
We are all waiting for the moment when the iPhone comes out, with which you can comfortably carry for two days without additional recharging.
6. Support 5G
We can't help but rejoice, rumors about iPhone support12 of the 5G standard. As of today, none of the iPhone 11s support 5G connectivity. Of course, this is not a big problem since most countries still lack 5G coverage. But the release of the iPhone 12 is more than six months away, let’s hope that by this time something will change in this matter.
7. Lower price
Every year, we ask Apple to make its prices more affordable. Indeed, the base iPhone 11 is cheaper than the iPhone XR. So it is quite possible to bump into an even lower price on the iPhone 12.
