iPhone 15 could get design from… plastic iPhone 5c?

As you know, everything new is well forgotten old. And Apple, traditionally reluctant to rush to implement everyone

existing technological innovations, such asno one else understands and applies this principle. So, two years ago, when releasing the iPhone 12 series, the company returned to it the flat edges that we last saw in the 2013 iPhone 5S (except for the 2016 iPhone SE). Later they appeared in the iPhone 13 and 14, but the future iPhone 15, expected in the fall of 2023, may partially move away from them. This was reported by the well-known informant ShrimpApplePro, noting that we are talking about Apple’s intention to round only the edges at the lid, while the front edges near the screen will remain rectangular.

This will improve the ergonomics of the devices, which has been criticized for three generations in a row for its sharp edges digging into the hand. By the way, a similar design has already been seen 10 years ago in the iPhone 5c - a cheaper version of the iPhone 5 with a plastic case. The source also mentioned a possible change in the frame material: instead of steel, titanium can be used, which will make it possible to reduce the weight of the devices.
