One of these rumors, which is striking in itsWhat's consistent is the device's inclusion of an OLED display, which KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo mentioned again in his research report today. According to9to5MacIn the upcoming flagship model, a flexible OLED display panel will be used, which will be bent to the side edges of the smartphone.

But, the use of such technology meansthat Apple will have to change the “3D Touch” pressure sensor currently in use, as the two technologies are not compatible with each other. Thus, Kuo expects Apple to abandon the use of the "FBCB sensor" and switch to the use of a "film sensor", which would mean a wider range of reading of the pressure levels of the 3D Touch sensor and generally increase its overall sensitivity.

Kuo adds that Apple usesbuilt-in metal structure around the “3D Touch” sensor area, since the OLED panel has a more fragile design than the LCD panel. However, Kuo does not specify whether this part of the structure will be external or internal.
