iPhone 8 with a 5.8-inch screen will receive a stainless steel case and tempered glass

A new report from DigiTimes claims that Apple is using a case made from

aluminum alloy, for iPhone devicesscreen diagonal is 4.7 inches, but the premium model iPhone 8 Plus, with a screen diagonal of 5.8 inches, will use a case made of tempered glass with stainless steel frames. The design of the iPhone model with a 5.5-inch screen has not yet been determined by the Cupertino company.

Tempered glass case suppliers withstainless steel frames will be Foxconn and Jabil Circuit. As for the aluminum alloy enclosures for devices with a 4.7-inch screen, Catcher Technology was chosen as the supplier.

Given the low price for devices with a screen of 4.7-inch, Apple has every reason to use an aluminum case in this model of mobile device. It will also allow the company to better differentiate this device model from the other two Plus size models. The manufacture and production of stainless steel cases is more expensive for the manufacturer than the aluminum alloy case, which is now widely used by most smartphone manufacturers. The iPhone 8 model with a 4.7-inch screen will also use glass plates as a front and back panel, as they are a prerequisite for enabling wireless charging.

This year's main focus in the lineupApple's iPhone 8 smartphones will be brought to the 5.8-inch model, which will use an OLED display and will cost more than $ 1,000. This model will also use a battery with increased capacity, despite the fact that it will have dimensions smaller than the model with a 5.5-inch screen.
