In developed countries, Apple offers trade-in iPhones to customers for temporary use when they trade in
As stated in the internal memo sent outApple Store employees and certified technicians, Apple will soon provide iPhone XR devices to customers when they have a long wait for an iPhone to be repaired.
Currently, if you are eligible forreceiving an iPhone for temporary use, Apple will provide you with an iPhone 8 – dated by today's standards as it still features a 4.7-inch display with a Home button and an A11 Bionic chip. In comparison, the iPhone XR offers more modern features like Face ID, a 6.1-inch edge-to-edge display, eSIM support, and a faster A12 Bionic chip.
It should be noted that not every client canget the device for temporary use, since the company takes into account how long it will take to repair the user's phone. For those receiving an iPhone for loan, Apple says customers must return the device no more than 14 days after the refurbished iPhone is ready to receive.
iPhone XR will be available for replacement in storesApple Stores and authorized retailers starting later this week in the US and “other select regions”. A complete and disappointing list of “featured regions” can be seen on the Apple website.
