iPhone XR, two Samsung Galaxy A and no flagship: the world's best-selling smartphones

Counterpoint Research employees summed up the results of the third quarter of 2019 and compiled a rating of smartphones

which became the best-selling during this time.

Who's in the top

The best-selling smartphone in the third quarterturned out to be the iPhone XR, which did not lose ground to the iPhone 11 and still remains in the top. It has been leading this rating for four quarters in a row, almost since its release.

The iPhone XR accounted for 3% of all smartphones sold during the reporting period.

Second and third places are occupied by Samsung Galaxy A10 and Galaxy A50 with a result of 2.6% and 1.9%, respectively. As you can see, there is not a single flagship in the top three.

Next in the ranking are:

  • Oppo A9 - 1.6%
  • iPhone 11 - 1.6%
  • Oppo A5s - 1.5%
  • Samsung Galaxy A20 - 1.4%
  • Oppo A5 - 1.3%
  • Redmi 7A - 1.2%
  • Huawei P30 - 1.1%

This top ten accounted for a total of 17% of all sales.
