Last week, Microsoft President Brad Smith announced that the corporation had signed a ten-year

agreement with Nintendo on the release of games from XboxGame Studios, and subsequently Activision Blizzard on Japanese consoles. Of course, everyone means Call of Duty, around which passions have been boiling for two years now.

Immediately after this news, many experts expressed doubt that popular shooters would be able to run smoothly on the frankly weak hardware of Nintendo consoles.

Today it became known that the British Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) shares this opinion and sees a fiction in this agreement.

The Commission expressed doubt that Call of Dutywould be acceptable to run on Nintendo Switch consoles, as modern parts of the game are too demanding, and if they come out on these devices, they will be in a much worse form than on other platforms.

In addition, British experts argue thatanonymous developers confirm that games comparable in demand to Call of Duty are almost impossible to release on Nintendo without significant loss in quality.

It is likely that this dubious agreement between Microsoft and Nintendo could negatively affect the decision of UK regulators to approve the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.
