Is there a correct sleeping position?

researchers, most people prefersleep on your side. It is also known that those who lie on their back are more likely to have trouble sleeping or have difficulty breathing at night. It's also important to have room to move while you sleep.

However, there are no high-quality studiesdetermining the “optimal sleeping position”. Your age, weight, environment, condition (pregnancy, for example) all affect which sleeping position is best for your body.

However, some poses are better than others. One study found that people who slept in a spinal rotation position woke up with more pain in the morning.
