To fully charge the battery todayan electric vehicle takes several hours. Even in fast charge mode, for example, Tesla Model 3 will take about an hour to fully restore the battery charge. This fundamentally distinguishes electric vehicles from traditional gasoline cars and, of course, limits their scope of use.
It became known that production of samples has begunbatteries using XFC technology in a StoreDot package, partner EVE Energy spoke about this. Production is located on existing lines that were made for the production of lithium-ion batteries.
So far, battery production has been organized inexperimental format: it is necessary to clarify how the product functions and whether it is possible to enter the market with it. Now the developers are distributing the product to automakers so that they can test new batteries in electric vehicles.
The startup is going to organize mass production of its batteries in the increasingly popular size 4680. The launch of production is planned for 2024.
