It all depends on gamers: the developers of A Plague Tale do not exclude the possibility of creating a third part of the series, but only with a favorable public reaction to Requiem

On the eve of the release of A Plague Tale: Requiem, an interview with the director of the project, Kevin Choteau, was published on the PlayStation.Blog website.

during the conversation he told a lot of interesting informationabout the development of both the first and second parts of A Plague Tale, and also shared what principles Asobo Studio was guided by when creating the sequel and what emotions they wanted to evoke in players.

We wrote about all this a few days ago, and now we will focus on another detail that was mentioned in the interview.

When asked if Requiem will be the finale of Amicia and Hugo's story, Kevin Shoto said that the possibility of a continuation of A Plague Tale depends on the public's reaction to the second part.

I think this is the end for now.But we're leaving that door always open and we'll see how the players react. We need to evaluate the reception before we decide anything, because gamers are the driving force behind our production, and if they don’t like what we have done, then we will need to do something else.

Considering that the first part of the game wona certain popularity among gamers, and the second one is getting good reviews, albeit with some reservations about technical problems (and who doesn’t have them on release?), the likelihood of A Plague Tale continuing looks quite optimistic.
