Voice chat in multiplayer games will no longer surprise anyone, but Epic Games went further and added video chat

Back in June 2019, the company boughtdevelopers of the mobile video chat Houseparty, and has now decided to integrate applications into its battle royale game. To see the faces of your teammates, you need to install Houseparty on your iOS or Android device and link your Epic and Houseparty accounts. Next, go to Fortnite and turn on broadcasting to the game in the mobile application itself.
Essentially, the smartphone acts as a webcam,which will show you on your friends’ screens. For now, the feature only works on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as PC. There is no talk yet about support for other platforms.

The special thing about Houseparty is that the appcaptures only the user's face and replaces the background with a virtual one. The developers also provided parental controls to prevent children from using the chat, the ability to block users, and a complaint system.
For linking your Epic account to HousepartyPlayers will unlock the Rainbow Fog skin. You can get it in another way: by playing five matches with friends from November 20 (07:00 Kyiv time) to November 27 (06:59 Kyiv time) in Fortnite.
