Japan becomes the first country in Asia to launch Starlink satellite internet

Elon Musk's satellite Internet has reached Asia. While China is demanding guarantees from the head of Tesla that

Starlink will not work on the territory of the Celestial Empire; Japan became the first Asian country where it appeared.

What is known

Coverage is not available throughout the countryrising sun. Residents of the northern part of the island of Honshu can connect to Starlink. In this region, in particular, is the city of Tokyo, the capital of Japan. The signal is expected to appear in other parts of the country before the end of 2022.

According to the coverage map available atofficial website of the project, the next Asian country with access to Starlink will be the Philippines, and after them – the Republic of Korea. Satellite Internet there will appear in the fourth quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, respectively.
