Japan will acquire troops to protect against space threats

According to the prime minister, Japan is forced to defend against cyber threats and electromagnetic interference that could damage the country's satellites.

The new unit will be located at Fuchu Air Base, towest of Tokyo. It will consist of 20 people. True, another two years will pass before their work begins - the launch of the organization is planned for 2022. Japan will allocate 50.6 billion yen (about 28.2 billion rubles) for this program.

In addition, the Prime Minister of Japan announced the need for cooperation with the United States. The main purpose of the emergence of a new unit, it seems, is to protect against China and North Korea.
