Japan has begun the development of unmanned remotely controlled fighter jets.
According to Nikkei Asia, Japan has stepped up defense-related research to counter China's military might.
It is reported that the Japanese Ministry of Defense intends to introduce unmanned fighters in three stages.Remotely controlled aircraft will be tested first, then "command" operations will be tested, in which one aircraft is controlledwill control several drones, and after that, fully unmanned and autonomous squadrons will be checked.
Japanese companies have already started working onnecessary technologies. Subaru will be responsible for the development of remote control, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Electric will work to create a system for the exchange of information between aircraft.
