Jetpack Aviation Speeder - 400 km/h jet-powered flying motorcycle priced at $381,000

Jetpack Aviation has developed a jet aircraft that looks like a motorcycle.

The device is called Speeder.

What is known

The company has not yet received approval forthe use of a flying motorcycle from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), but hopes that the issue with the regulatory body will be resolved. Meanwhile, Jetpack Aviation is testing the Speeder at its plant in California.

The bike is equipped with eight powerful jetengines. The company is working to ensure that the motorcycle can safely accelerate to 250 mph (400 km/h) for the rider. The cruising speed is 60 mph (96 km/h). At this speed, the Speeder will be able to fly 30 minutes at 100 feet (30 meters).

The company is also developing an unmanned version of the motorcycle. It will be used to transport goods. The maximum speed of this modification will be 400 mph (645 km/h).

The wait for the commercial version of the manned Speeder motorcycle is still long, but Jetpack Aviation has already opened pre-orders. The cost of the aircraft is $381,000.
