Kalashnikov creates an AI gun to hit targets even at night

In Russia they are creating a new weapon that will use a neural network. Production and development

will deal with Kalashnikov.According to the chief designer of the concern, individual elements of the system have already been created. They have already been demonstrated to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Shoigu, as part of a closed display at the international military-technical forum Army-2021.

The neural networks that will be equipped with weapons will be able toidentify objects, as well as assist in aiming and target tracking. AI will help the fighter in the shooting process. As the authors of the project assure, this will increase the likelihood and speed of hitting targets. The new gun will hit targets more accurately than any rifle.

The innovation will come in handy in conditions where the soldier is simply physically unable to see some targets at night or in poor visibility conditions.

Kalashnikov Group of Companies is oneone of the world's most famous manufacturers of automatic combat and sniper weapons, guided artillery shells, as well as precision weapons.
