A Twitter user reported that his aunt died as a result of an explosion of a Redmi 6A, which was charging next to the victim's head. He supported his story with photographs of the mangled device and even a photograph of the deceased (18+!!!), and did not forget about contacting the manufacturer himself.

Xiaomi responded in the comments.There, the brand's support service in India offered condolences to the user and reminded that security – a key priority in the company's work, and also reported that it was “trying to contact” with the family of the deceased to clarify the circumstances of the tragedy. Obviously, the police investigation will provide answers to all the questions of interest. Well, it would still be a good idea for us to wean ourselves from sleeping dangerously close to devices. Just in case…
