Latvia received the first batch of American helicopters Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk

The first batch of American UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters was delivered to Latvia.

Latvian Defense Minister Artis PabriksPabriks). We are talking about two UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters. They were flown to Latvia via C-17 military cargo planes. The helicopters will be put into operation by the end of this year. In 2023, Latvia will receive two more UH-60M Black Hawks. They will become a replacement for the Soviet Mi-2 and Mi-17 helicopters.

UH-60M Black Hawk - American tacticalmulti-purpose helicopter. It is designed for transporting personnel, military cargo, as well as for evacuating the wounded and transporting large cargo. The UH-60M Black Hawk is manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft (owned by Lockheed Martin). The first version of the helicopter was released in 1974. Since then it has received many modifications.
