Last month, the head of the defense departmentstated that Latvia wants to buy less than ten HIMARS systems. The other day, the minister clarified that we are talking about six multiple launch rocket systems, which should be purchased before 2025. But it is possible that their number will be increased.
The minister is currently unable to name the amountwhich will be allocated for the purchase of HIMARS, since a number of additional items must be taken into account, including types of rockets, but we are talking about tens of millions of euros. At the same time, Latvia hopes that the United States will be able to cover part of the costs.
