Latvia wants to purchase M142 HIMARS rocket systems for more than €300,000,000

Following Estonia and Latvia, they expressed a desire to acquire M142 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.

This was announced by the Secretary of the Ministry of DefenseJanis Garisons. The Latvian government hopes to receive the first missile systems by 2025. At the same time, the defense department is aware that deliveries of HIMARS may be delayed due to high demand from Ukraine.

A response is expected by the end of summer. How many rocket systems Latvia wants to purchase has not yet been specified, but more than €300,000,000 will be allocated for the purchase.
