League of Legends: Wild Rift - LoL for smartphones and consoles with three important changes

The rumors were confirmed and Riot Games will release mobile and console versions of League of Legends, but under a different name.

What is known

LoL will appear on mobile phones and consoles under the nickname Wild Rift. According to the developers, players will not find a banal port of the PC version, but a new game created from scratch.

Firstly, matches in Wild Rift take15–20 minutes, which is almost two times less than in League of Legends. Secondly, the developers changed the controls, adapting it to the touch screens of smartphones. Thirdly, although Wild Rift will receive heroes familiar to LoL fans, some of the skins will not make it to the mobile version.

Wild Rift will be released at the end of 2019, but within the framework of beta testing and regions selected by Riot Games. There will be a global release before the end of 2020, with the game appearing in “most regions.”
