Leak: Apple to launch 27-inch iMac Pro in 2022 with M1 Pro / Max chips, Mini-LED display and over $ 2000

Insider @Dylandkt shared on Twitter about the new iMac that Apple is preparing for next year.

What to expect

According to him, Apple is using the Pro prefix inthe name to highlight the difference between the new model and the 24-inch iMac, released earlier this year. From this we can conclude that it will be a more professional device head and shoulders above its predecessor.

And judging by the specs that have leakedthanks to @Dylandkt, this is indeed the case. The iMac Pro is credited with a 27-inch Mini-LED display with ProMotion technology and the M1 Pro and M1 Max processors used in the new MacBook Pros.

In addition, Apple has tested Face ID for the device, but this feature has yet to be confirmed.

Also, the new iMac Pro should get from 16/512 GB of memory, an HDMI port, an SD card slot and several USB-C / Thunderbolt ports, like the MacBook Pro.

An insider says the iMac‌ Pro will replace the current 27-inch Intel-based iMac‌ models and will retail for at least $ 2,000.
