Lenovo unveils new ThinkPad X1 business laptops with Raptor Lake-P chips, Intel Iris Xe graphics and 5G support starting at $1,649

Lenovo introduced several less fatalistic laptops with the Yoga 9i. Manufacturer at CES 2023

presented two variants of the ThinkPad X1.

What is known

In both cases, it uses a Raptor Lake P-series generation chip. The maximum amount of RAM is 64 GB (LPDDR5), and the SSD capacity is 2 TB.

The laptop has a battery with a capacity of 57 Wh andsupport for 65W fast charging. The model also received two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one HDMI 2.0b and will optionally be available with support for 5G / LTE cellular networks.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 hasalmost identical technical parameters. The first difference is the lack of a touch screen. The modification with the OLED display has a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. In addition, the lid does not open 360 degrees.

Another novelty is the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3.It also uses a Core i5/i7 from the Raptor Lake-P series. Optionally, the model will be available with support for LTE networks. The maximum amount of RAM is 16 GB, and the SSD is 1 TB.

The laptop is equipped with a touch (optional) 13 ”display with a resolution of 2160 x 1350 pixels and a brightness of up to 450 nits. The battery capacity was 16 GB, and the wired charging power was 65 watts.

Price and when to wait

All laptops will hit the market in April 2023.X 1 Nano Gen 3 will cost from $1649. The X1 Carbon Gen 11 will start at $1,729. The most expensive novelty is X1 Yoga Gen 8. It will cost at least $1859.
