LG brings 48-inch flexible OLED gaming monitor to CES 2021

In just a week (January 11), one of the largest technology exhibitions - the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2021) - will start.

What to expect

In addition to LG Display's transparent OLED panelswill showcase the concept product on the CES 2021 virtual show floor. This is a 48-inch flexible OLED gaming monitor “Bendable CSO (Cinematic Sound OLED)”.

The point is that the screen can change its shapeby pressing one button. For example, when you watch a movie, it is flat, but for exciting games it turns into a curved screen with a radius of curvature of up to 1000 mm.

By the way, last year at CES LGshowed a similar curved display. The difference between the new model is the presence of CSO technology, which turns the entire OLED panel into a speaker. As a result, the sound comes directly from the screen, and the device itself becomes thinner.

Additionally, the monitor supports refresh rates from 40Hz to 120Hz. Now this is the minimum indicator for gaming monitors.
