The Korean manufacturer LG, as promised, announced the flagship smartphone LG G8X ThinQ at IFA 2019 in Berlin.

The new product resembles its predecessor LG G8 ThinQ.External differences include a drop-shaped cutout on the display and the absence of a fingerprint scanner on the back side. It is now installed under a 6.4-inch FHD+ OLED screen.

The Snapdragon processor is responsible for the heart of the device.855 and 6 GB of RAM. Built-in storage in the new product is 128 GB. It can be expanded with a microSD memory card. The LG G8X ThinQ has a 4000 mAh battery with a USB-C port and fast charging. The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie OS.
The main camera in the device is double.The main module is 12 MP with f/1.8 aperture and optical stabilization (OIS), and the secondary one is a 13 MP wide-angle lens with a coverage angle of 136 degrees. The front camera, in turn, is 32 megapixel.

Features of the LG G8X ThinQ include:water and shock resistance (IP68/MIL-STD 810G), 32-bit DAC, headphone jack and support for the updated DualScreen case. It is equipped with two screens: a main 6.4-inch OLED with a notch and an additional 2.1-inch monochrome for notifications. The case opens 360 degrees and its internal screen can be used as a gamepad or a large QWERTY keyboard. The DualScreen weighs 134 grams, and the smartphone itself weighs 192 grams.

Prices and sales start date for LG G8X ThinQ and caseThe manufacturer has not yet announced DualScreen. It is only known that the new items will appear on store shelves before the end of this year. In South Korea, the smartphone will be released as the LG V50S ThinQ 5G.
