LG starts installing transparent OLED displays instead of subway windows

LG was the first in the world to begin equipping the subway with transparent OLED displays.

Why do you need it

The first

55-inch panels will be installed on the sixthBeijing Metro Line and Shenzhen Metro Line 10. They will display information about the movement of trains, stations and metro lines, as well as weather, news and other useful data.

These displays have 38 percent transparency and support Full HD resolution.

Further LG plans to equip screens and otherthe world's subways and increase the production of transparent OLED displays. The company says they can be used in place of conventional shop windows and as platforms for outdoor advertising.
