Korean electronics manufacturer LG has been experiencing problems with its mobile division for several years.
What is known
According to Reuters, citing informationYonhap News agency, LG is stopping the production of smartphones in its homeland of South Korea. It will be completely transferred to an existing plant in Vietnam. This solution will help reduce company costs and slightly optimize the mobile business. According to analysts, the Korean plant accounts for about 10-20% of the production of all devices. Basically, these are flagship smartphones.
Naturally, LG is not going to leave the mobile business just yet, even despite low sales. The manufacturer will continue to do its best to compete with other players in the market.
Let us remember that at MWC 2019 the company presented two flagship smartphones LG G8 ThinQ and LG V50 ThinQ 5G.
