Like the Galaxy S20 Ultra: Samsung introduced another 108MP sensor for smartphones

Last August, Samsung introduced a 108-megapixel ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor, which formed the basis of the camera

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 (aka Xiaomi CC9 Pro in China). Now the next generation of sensors, ISOCELL Bright HM1, is debuting.

What can

The resolution of the sensor is the same - 108 megapixels. The sensor size is 1/1.33" with a pixel size of 0.8 micrometers.

The new sensor can shoot video in 8K at 24 fps and take photos in 108 MP resolution with HDR support.

Nonacell technology is also used,allowing you to combine data from 9 pixels. The result is photographs with a resolution of 12 megapixels. This is an improved version of the Tetracell technology that the regular ISOCELL Bright HMX uses. The previous sensor combined 4 pixels and produced photos in 27 megapixel resolution.

In addition, Samsung claims to supportSmart-ISO technology for the best calculation of photosensitivity values, electronic image stabilization and Real-Time HDR to improve the quality of pictures in low light. The ability to enlarge images three times without losing quality is also available.

ISOCELL Bright HM1 is already in serial production. Apparently, they installed it in the main camera of the new flagship Galaxy S20 Ultra.
