Lithuania raised $250,000 for a maritime kamikaze drone for Ukraine

Lithuania decided to help Ukraine create naval kamikaze drones and raised funds for one such device.

Lithuanian journalist Andrius TapinasTapinas reported that residents of the country have raised $250,000 to finance the creation of maritime drones. The funds will be sent to the United24 fundraising platform.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announcedthe beginning of fundraising for the construction of a fleet of sea drones. In a few hours since the start of the campaign, the United24 platform was able to raise funds for the creation of three drones.

The marine drone will be equipped with a systemautomatic piloting, cameras, communication modules and a warhead weighing up to 200 kg, so it can not only attack enemy targets, but also conduct reconnaissance. The range is 400 km, the power reserve is 800 km, and the maximum speed is 80 km/h. The cost of one drone is ₴10 million or approximately $270,000.
