
The American company Lockheed Martin has begun assembling the first F-35A fighter for the Polish Air Force.
What is known
The head of the Polish government at the enterprise inGeorgia was able to see the F-35A Lightning II fuselage center wing assembly. To install the wings, the aircraft will go to the Lockheed Martin plant in Fort Worth, Texas.
Poland ordered 32 fifth-generation fighter jetsBlock 4 F-35A in early 2020. The $4.6 billion contract provides for the training of pilots and ground personnel. Aircraft deliveries will begin in 2024 and will last until 2030. The first six F-35A fighters will remain in the US for training purposes.
The key innovation of the Block Level Upgrade4 will be updated electronic warfare capabilities. They will be based on an upgrade called Technology Refresh-3 (TR-3), which will improve the computing electronics of the F-35 Lightning II.
