Lockheed Martin has become a new investor in the young company H3X Technologies.

The H3X Technologies range includeselectric engines for aircraft with power from 30 kW to 3 MW. The Denver-based company claims its powertrains are unmatched in terms of performance in terms of efficiency and power density.

H3X continues to work on engine improvements.She claims that they can reach power densities in excess of 10 kW per kilogram. At this stage of development, the manufacturer is scaling technologies that can provide electrification of obsolete systems, and one of the goals in the long term is to create its own electric aircraft.

The amount of investment in H3X is not specified.In addition to Lockheed Martin, the startup cooperates with other companies that work on military projects, incl. over unmanned aerial vehicles with electric power plants.
