American defense contractor Lockheed Martin will receive a new contract from the Pentagon for the production of the M142 HIMARS.

This is not the first contract for Lockheed Martin related to the M142 HIMARS. A few weeks ago, the company received more than $500 million for the production of GMLRS rockets.
Now the United States Department of Defenseallocated $431.93 million to the manufacturer for the manufacture of M142 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems. The work under the contract must be completed by December 31, 2025.
The Pentagon notes that production will belaunched to meet an urgent need for missile systems for the army and partners. At the same time, the defense department does not specify which of the partners the new M142 HIMARS can be transferred to.
