See a “jet” boat that dips underwater and soars above it

The new Jet Shark boat, inspired by the movements of dolphins and sharks,

rushes both on the surface of the water and under it. But the Q model dives no deeper than the tip of the fin (in the photo below). Then the boat “flies” over the water again.

Another feature of Jet Shark is that itaccommodates up to four adults. All passengers are in a waterproof cabin with climate control and large panoramic windows. According to the company's plans, future versions will accommodate up to six people.

The body of the Jet Shark Q is made primarily offiberglass, and carbon fiber is used for critical parts. The fully functional jet prototype is powered by a 420 hp Kodiak Marine engine. This is the marine version of the new generation Corvette 6.2l V8 engine. Engine power in future models will be 600 hp. The founder of Jet Shark said that the maximum speed of the prototype is 72 km/h, and the commercial version will sail at a speed of 89 km/h.

Right now Jet Shark is still in progressdevelopment and will require several stages of testing and certification before the model is released to the market. However, the company plans to accept orders starting in early 2024. The preliminary price will be from $250,000 to $300,000.
