Look at the project of a giant rotating base on the moon

Japanese engineers are planning to create a space base with artificial gravity. She will commit

full rotation in 20 seconds

Representatives from Kyoto Universityand Kajima Corporation (one of the oldest and largest construction companies in Japan) announced cooperation. Together they will study the concept of a rotating lunar base: how realistic it is to build it and how it will help the colonizers of Mars.

Professor Yosuke Yamashiki from KyotoUniversity and Takuya Ono, head of the architectural design department at the Kansai branch of Kajima Construction, shared a video showing the design of an “artificial gravity facility” for life on the Moon and Mars.

The structure will be formed in such a way thatsimulate earth conditions using centrifugal force to recreate gravity. The rotating structure will make a complete revolution every 20 seconds.

The concept itself is similar to O'Neil's colony orIsland III, except the base stands and rotates on its side and tapers towards the bottom (forming a funnel shape). The "funnel" is supported by a large lattice structure that flares out at the base to distribute the weight of the object over a larger surface area.  There is a track around the base structure that depicts a high-speed train responsible for transportation from the crater to the lunar surface or between points inside.
