Look at the prototype aircraft from the future: it will fly at a speed of 400 km/h

The LEO Coupe (LX-1) is actually an eVTOL, an electric vehicle with a vertical take-off system and

landing. Now LEO Flight has not only published renderings, but also built the first prototype of an aircraft from the future.

The experimental prototype LX-1 has a differentimpressive design. A huge aluminum frame is needed to test the power plant, which consists of four blocks with 72 small vertical screws. It also has two larger fans at the back, which provide the prototype with a little horizontal thrust.

The aircraft will reach speeds of up to 400 km/h andovercome 483 km on a single charge. The final version of the LEO Coupe will be equipped with 200 small propellers, each 11 cm in diameter and developing 5.3 kg of thrust, for a total of more than 1043 kg of thrust.

The empty plane will weigh 499 kg and be able to carrypayload of 231 kg. At the same time, the aircraft will be quite compact, its dimensions will be 3x6 m. The size of LEO Coupes will allow it to be used as an air taxi or an individual vehicle that can land anywhere with limited space.

The cabin can accommodate about three adults, including the pilot. At the same time, the aircraft will have easy-to-learn semi-autonomous control.
