MacBook and iPad transition to OLED delayed: new timeline

Apple is moving very smoothly to OLED. Thus, over the past two years the company has switched to organic

crystals for the entire iPhone line, but is still slow toiPad and Mac. It is known for certain that such a transition will not take place this year, and subject matter expert Ross Young is confident that the first MacBook and iPad Pro will be presented in 2024. In the case of a laptop, the most preferable option is to replenish the MacBook Air series, although the option of a MacBook Pro or opening a new line is not excluded. iPad Pro will supposedly both get OLED, although by 2023 11″ and 12.9″ the format may be revised.

Note that Apple not so long ago began working withminiLED technology, which is one step closer to the level of OLED in image quality, but is still inferior in brightness, contrast and energy efficiency. At this stage, it is difficult to assess how the transition to OLED will affect pricing, but it is unlikely that a rise in price will be avoided. The next new iPad Pro is expected in September-October this year.
