New processors M1 Pro and Max
Apple ditched the Intel chip and replaced them withown developments - M1 Pro and M1 Max. At the presentation, they said that these are new 10-core processors, they allow you to connect up to four external displays to one device. The M1 Pro and M1 Max are designed with the professional laptop in mind.
The first processor, M1 Pro, has 33.7 billiontransistors with 32 GB of memory at a speed of 200 GB/sec. For comparison, the second processor - M1 Max - is more powerful and has 57 billion transistors, as well as 64 GB of memory with a speed of 400 GB/sec.
Apple noted that the difference between processorswill be visible when working with graphics, for example, in computer games. Also, for professional work with video content, special media processors with ProRes accelerators were placed in the chips
As a result, the M1 Pro and M1 Max show a 70% increase in processing power compared to previous models, and twice the graphics power.
Macbook pro
New MacBook Pro laptops presented in twoformats - with screens in 14.2 and 16.2 inches. The appearance of the device has been redesigned: the frame on the sides has decreased by 26%, and by 60% - on the top. Now the FaceTime camera is on top in the "bangs": its resolution is 1080p.
The MacBook Pro's TouchBar has disappeared and is replaced by several physical keys. Apple said this brings back a sense of tactility.
The company also announced a record laptop battery life. The first device is 21 hours, the second is 17 hours. It is noted that these are the highest rates among the entire line of Apple.
The company is bringing back MagSafe magnetic charging to new laptops, and it also has an HDMI and SD card slot. In addition, there are three USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 for fast data transfer.
The new MacBook Pro starts at $1,999. The most expensive of the devices will cost $3,499. Converted to rubles, laptops will cost from 189,990 rubles.
HomePod mini
Apple also showed the HomePod mini speaker inupdated colors, there are yellow, orange and blue. At the same time, the characteristics of the device have not changed in any way; it also works on the S5 processor and adjusts the reproduced sound to the external noise. But it will not be possible to buy a speaker in Russia, since the device will be on sale from November only in 16 countries.
