MediaTek – middle class host in AnTuTu, Qualcomm – in budgets

A few more charts of the popular AnTuTu benchmark. This time we'll talk about the budget and

mid-budget levels. And there is something to see here. Contrary to general ideas about mobile hardware manufacturers, the mid-level segment is completely dominated by MediaTek and its Dimensity 8100/8100 Max: devices with this chip took from 1st to 7th place in the overall rating (Vivo S15 Pro, Realme GT Neo 3, Redmi Note 11T Pro+, OPPO Reno 8 Pro+, Redmi K50, OnePlus Ace, Reami Note 11T Pro). The eighth position was taken by Dimensity 8000 (OPPO K10), and Qualcomm and its Snapdragon 870 took only 9th (Vivo S15) and 10th (IQOO Neo 6 SE) places. The most popular configuration in the segment – 12/256 GB, although there was also a place for the daredevil Redmi Note 11T Pro 6/128 GB. Qualcomm will create a fuss in June, when the first gadgets based on Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 will hit the chart.

In the budget segment everything is Qualcomm, and onlyOPPO Reno 7 on Dimensity 900 holds the banner of its Taiwanese competitor. The best chipset in the class – Snapdragon 778G, the most popular memory bundle – 8/256 GB (5 positions), although 8/128 GB is also a shameful option (4 positions). As a reminder, AnTuTu charts are not a specific performance indicator, but provide insight into the trends in the smartphone market from month to month.
