Mercedes-Benz teaser "world's most efficient electric car" with a range of 1200 km

The German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz announced the development of the most efficient, in the company's opinion,

electric vehicle in the world.

What is known

Representatives of Mercedes-Benz showed a teaser of the newconcept car during the announcement of the company's updated strategy for 2020. The prototype was called Vision EQXX. The company, naturally, did not disclose any specifications of the car, but said that the electric car will be able to travel from Beijing to Shanghai on a single charge. And this, for a minute, is a little more than 1200 km.

“We gathered a group of our engineers to taketook on an unusual task: to build the longest, most efficient electric car the world has ever seen. This is a serious project in pursuit of new generation technologies. We intend to implement this knowledge into the next generation of production vehicles.” — Markus Schafer, Head of Research and Development at Mercedes-Benz.

According to engineers, instead of increasing capacitybatteries, they focused on efficiency and aerodynamic properties, thanks to which they achieved incredible results. The company noted that the concept will be released in a single copy, but the technologies it uses are planned to be introduced into production cars in the future. There is no information yet when the Vision EQXX concept will be shown.
