Mercedes-Benz EQT: electric minivan concept, which Daimler released together with Renault

The Mercedes-Benz Vans division has announced a new electric car, the EQT.

What is known

Mercedes-Benz EQT is

compact van concept, whichdeveloped by Daimler together with Renault engineers. Essentially, the new product is an electric version of the recently released Renault Kangoo. Therefore, the car received similar dimensions: length 4945 mm, width 1863 mm and height 1826 mm.

Like other models of the EQ series, the minivan canboasting a futuristic appearance with a curved grille and unusual LED headlights. The EQT also gets 21-inch wheels and sliding rear doors. The car's interior looks no less interesting. The electric car is equipped with folding seats, as well as the proprietary MBUX infotainment system with a touch screen and voice control.

Technical characteristics of the new Mercedes-Benzhas not yet been announced, but we can assume that they will coincide with the future Renault Kangoo E-Tech Electric. The car is equipped with a 102-horsepower electric motor, a 45-kilowatt-hour battery and a cruising range of 265 km on the WLTP cycle.

When to expect

Announcement of the production version of the Mercedes-Benz EQTscheduled for 2022. By the way, the new product is one of three models in the new line. It will also include a utilitarian version of the Citan and a passenger model with an internal combustion engine - the T-Class.
