Micron intends to invest in new venture$100 billion. Naturally, not all at once. Funds for the construction of the complex will be allocated over 20 years. The plant will be located in Clay, New York, and will create 50,000 new jobs, including 9,000 for the new facility.
The American manufacturer has already developed a planproject. Preparation for work will begin in 2023, and construction in 2024. The start of semiconductor production is scheduled for 2025, but plans may change.

Over the next eight years, Microninvests $20 billion to build a new semiconductor enterprise. The New York State Government is ready to compensate part of the costs, namely $5.5 billion, but in stages.
Also, do not forget about the statesupport. In the summer, US authorities passed a law to support the semiconductor industry, which includes federal funding of $52 billion for the industry. But Micron and other companies will only be able to apply for state funding from 2023.
